Our Story

Hi!  My name is Sakeia Wingate, Founder & CEO of Foodie By Nature, LLC. Foodie By Nature LLC is a woman-owned, family operated sea moss & wellness business that specializes in infused sea moss gels and holistic products that help people live a life full of health, wellness and good vibes!  I am a wife to my college sweetheart, DJ and a true boy mom to our sons Lennox & Royce.  I was introduced to the medicinal power of sea moss in 2019 after being diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.  It helped my health bounce back tremendously after chemo & radiation treatments- to the point that I  am now cancer-free and thriving!  My family and I fell in love with this marine superfood and all of the health benefits it provided to us but were NOT fans of the taste. So, I set out to create an infused flavor that was delicious and even more nutritious.  After months of playing scientist and chef with different herbs and elixirs, I finally had the perfect combo of flavors.  And with that, Foodie By Nature was born in early 2020 with our OG infusion as a local Deland, FL home business. Today we are shipping our infused sea moss gels nationwide, featured in 2 Daytona Beach health food stores and growing more everyday (all while still mainly being a home-based business!).  We have become extremely passionate about helping others reach their health goals and strongly believe that adding sea moss to their diets can give them the jumpstart they need for a beautiful wellness journey!
